In Darkness There is Light
This is not only a tagline for the kind of fiction I write, it is a tagline for my life. When my husband was laid off and went almost a year without work, there was light. When my son became so ill he stopped breathing and had to be lifeflighted to Portland, there was light. When a lump the size of a golf ball was found in my breast, there was light. It wasn’t a blazing light; it wasn’t a burst of sunshine. The darkness that filled my life during those times felt so overbearing that I felt I would …
Writing in the Dark

At first I wrote scenes that came to me. I fiddled around with plots, never quite knowing where I was going. As I wrote, life continued to roll by. God move my family a couple times. Behind the Story: The Sea People of Avonai

The Sea People of Avonai Readers have told me they love the sea people of Avonai from my book, Daughter of Light. For those of you who have not read it yet, they are a race of people who live along the eastern coast of the continent and are so connected to the sea that they can feel the sea inside their veins …

Interview with Morgan Busse
Time for another interview from www.wherethemapends.com. Enjoy! Please Welcome…Morgan Busse (*Originally posted May 2012) This month our interview guest is Christian speculative fiction author Morgan Busse. While most authors begin their story with knowing they were destined to be a writer at an early age, such is not the case with Morgan. When she was young she wanted to be a Pegasus unicorn… She never managed to become that elusive magical creature. Instead, she grew up to be a wife and mother. She says that sometimes that experience is equally magical, and sometimes she wishes she had magic. (The “flick …
